The neighbourhood room, which was initiated by the Urban Renewal Offices, not only share the premises, but here they learn, teach and eat together and help local people with free tenant and social advice.
Share the City
Sharing connects. People who share start talking to one another and new communities emerge. The move away from property and towards a culture of sharing, re-using, lending and repairing - offers many possibilities, especially in the urban area. This not only includes the sharing of rooms per se, but also the sharing and passing on of knowledge and know-how, as well as shared commitment.
Herbstraße 15 offers plenty of space for neighbourly activities. A kitchen, sewing machines, repair tools and computers with internet-access are available on site to be used free-of charge. A comprehensive range of services, such as free rental/housing legal advice complements the programme.
Residents meet here to sew or cook together, and to teach and learn languages.
