1.    What is a cookie and what cookies do we use?

Cookies are small files that allow this website to store specific user-related information on the computer of the visitor.  Cookies help us to establish the usage frequency and number of visitors to our website, as well as making our offers more convenient and efficient for you.

We use the following cookies:

  • Session cookies: These are cookies that are stored exclusively for the duration of your use of our website.  Most of the cookies on this website are session cookies.
  • Permanent cookies: These are cookies that record information about visitors who access our website repeatedly.  The purpose of the use of these cookies is to be able to offer an optimal user experience, as well as to recognise visitors and in case of repeated use to be able to present a website that is as attractive as possible with interesting content.
  • First Party and Third Party Cookie: When this website is next accessed with the same end device, the cookie and its stored information is either sent back to the website that generated it (First Party Cookie) or sent to another website that it belongs to (Third Party Cookie).

We use the following cookies and social media plugins of third-party suppliers:

•    Piwik: The website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open source software for the statistical evaluation of visitor accesses.  Matomo uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable an anonymised analysis of your use of the web presence.  An attribution to a specific person is not possible, as your IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before storing.  You can decide in this case whether an indicated web analysis cookie may be deposited in your browser to enable the operator of the website to gather and analyse various statistical data.

•    Facebook: The website also uses the services of Facebook Connect and Facebook Impression offered by Facebook, Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).

Owing to Facebook Connect, users can use their Facebook profile for a simplified login to other web services. If you use the services of Facebook Connect to login on the digital platforms of WrWKS, you must accept their cookie policy as part of registration: www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/. On this website you can read how to manage Facebook cookies.

Facebook Impression indicates how often an advertising insert has been displayed on a screen for the first time.  The data gathered via Facebook Impression is anonymous.

In addition, Facebook plugins are integrated on our website. The Facebook plugins can be recognised by the Facebook logo or the “like” button on our site. You can find an overview of Facebook plugins here:https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.If you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server.  Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to attribute the visit to our pages to your user account.

We point out that we as a provider of the pages do not receive information about the content of the transmitted data and its use by Facebook. You can find further information about this in the Facebook data protection declaration at www.facebook.com/policy.php.If you do not want Facebook to be able to attribute the visit to our pages to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Please note that WrWKS is not responsible regarding the cookies of third-party suppliers.
