ERHIN

European Responsible Housing Initiative

More than ever before, today’s complex social, environmental and economic transformations and challenges require housing providers and their stakeholders to work closely together to support and further develop Responsible Housing.

The European Responsible Housing Initiative (ERHIN) is a project implemented by DELPHIS, Housing Europe and the International Union of Tenants, co-funded by the European Commission (DG Enterprise). It was implemented with a view to lead the way towards better embedding CSR in the social housing sector, through awareness-raising, transfer of knowledge and tools and stakeholder dialogue at European level. The main components and deliverables of ERHIN are:

  • A roadmap to develop CSR in the public, cooperative and social housing sector
  • The so called “Responsible Housing Award”
  • The European Responsible Housing Stakeholder Forum to define a common view on CSR in the housing sector.
  • The website http://www.responsiblehousing.eu,  which provides practical information and tools for CSR implementation and present best practices

The City of Vienna and Vienna`s municipal housing provider Wiener Wohnen have joined the ERHIN initiative.
