The Municipal Department of Urban Renewal & Inspecting Authority for Residential Buildings (MA 25) offers a wide range of tenants´ services and information – especially in connection with all aspects of housing technology. It also finances the Urban Renewal Offices (GB*) and community work in municipal housing (wohnpartner) as well as leading the project “Smarter Together”. The department also offers a service-point for renovations, improving the accessibility of flats for disabled people and the elderly, providing funding for the thermal-insulation of detached or terraced houses as well as for home safety measures and solar-energy installations. It provides online calculators to check whether existing rents are appropriate and to support those moving home in calculating the right price to pay for the fixtures and fittings of previous tenants.
